Bali Governor Backs Global Hindu Business Conference 2026
16 Apr 2026
The commitment was conveyed during a meeting with the GHBC organising committee at the Governor’s Office in Renon, Denpasar, on Wednesday (15 April).
The committee outlined that GHBC 2026 will take place from 10 to 12 July at the Universitas Hindu Indonesia (UNHI) campus in Denpasar. The event is positioned as an international strategic forum aimed at advancing Bali’s transformation from a world-class tourism destination into a global hub for a value-based economic system rooted in Dharma, referred to as “Dharmanomics”.
Organisers noted that the conference builds on the Nusantara Declaration initiated in October 2024 by Prajaniti Hindu Indonesia, the Global Hindu Federation, Pasraman Bali Eling Spirit, and Universitas Hindu Negeri I Gusti Bagus Sugriwa. The initiative subsequently led to the establishment of the Global Hindu Entrepreneur Network (GHEN), envisioned as a collaborative platform for Hindu entrepreneurs worldwide and forming the foundation of the conference.
Carrying the theme “Towards Dharmanomics: Designing the Future”, GHBC 2026 aims to foster a global network connecting business leaders, academics, and Hindu figures from various countries, while opening new avenues for international investment into Indonesia, particularly Bali. The conference is also expected to catalyse a sustainable economic movement grounded in Dharma values, strengthening business ecosystems across communities, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and traditional villages.
Preparations are progressing positively. Committee members Dr Ketut Jaman and Dr Ketut Susila Dharma reported that registrations from participants and speakers have already been received from countries including Malaysia, India, Nepal, and Mauritius, as well as from within Indonesia. Attendance is projected at 300 to 400 participants, with interest continuing to grow in line with the relevance of the theme.
The organisers are also seeking the attendance of the Vice President of Indonesia to officially open the conference, a move expected to further reinforce GHBC’s standing as a significant global economic forum.
The committee believes the initiative aligns closely with the Bali Provincial Government’s vision of positioning the island as a centre of global civilisation grounded in culture, spirituality, and economic self-reliance. The Governor’s support is seen as a key factor in establishing GHBC as a milestone in Bali’s journey towards becoming a global hub for a value-based economy.
With strong backing from local authorities and increasing international participation, GHBC 2026 is expected to be more than a conference. It represents a strategic opportunity for businesses, investors, and exhibitors to engage in a sustainable, value-driven global economic ecosystem.
Registration is now open via the official website, www.dharmanomics.com, for participants both domestically and internationally.
Guided by the spirit “From Bali to the World, from Dharma to Global Prosperity,” GHBC 2026 is set to mark a significant moment in elevating Bali onto the global stage as a centre for value-based economic development, while fostering international collaboration for sustainable prosperity rooted in local wisdom and Dharma principles.
